I thought the word Illegal meant against the law.
Why do we support Illegal anything?
Why does an American citizen get less than an illegals on Social Securty?
Get rid of the slave law that says anyone born in the U.S. is a citizen.
If (per chance) you deport illegal parents, the children go with them.
Why are Hispanics treated differently than other illegals?
How do you get the elected officials to listen, and not put off making
decisions rightly because they might not get re-elected if they offend
ONE special intrest? I don' think their making the important decisions
anyway.

It was always a good feeling to know that I had SS to help me after I retired. I was a single Mom and for 40 years I made a decent salary as an airline employee. However, since I retired in 1984 my SS is hardly noticeable in what I have to live on and I thoroughly resent having to share it with ILLEGAL Aliens!!! What is the matter with us, as good, hard working, honest citizens of our wonderful United States of America, that we have to put up with a bunch of leaches who all they do is come in and desecrate our land and create a bitterness in our people like I have never seen before.

Do Members of Congress Pay Social Security Taxes?
Lawmakers do pay 8 percent of their salaries into their pension system, although this only compensates for about 1/5 of the typical lifetime benefit. We cover the rest as taxpayers.
Member of Congress began to pay into Social Security in 1983, as part of a government-wide pension overhaul.
In addition, Members of Congress DO NOT draw the “same pension” as their pay in the last year of office as suggested in a rumor circulating on the Internet; only federal judges do that under the term “retirement pay.” Still, the formula is quite generous, and, with 20-25 years, a Member of Congress could retire with up to 80 percent of his or her salary replaced. Of course, the only cap on how fast their benefits rise is the rate of increase in CPI. For this reason, Congressional pensions can and frequently do exceed a Member’s final salary, but only after a few years in retirement, when COLAS begin to kick in.

what person or party provided ss benefit for a living spouse who never worked outside the home and why?

There are 2 things that need to be cleared up: First, there is NO SS
Trust fund! Your payments into SS are a tax - pure and simple. Second, there's a deficit for 2 reasons: The first is obvious - there are more people who get benefits than those who pay into it (including illegals).
Also, the money collected from SS taxes is used by your elected Congress to fund pet projects and other things besides SS System. P.S.
Your elected officials don't pay into the SS System. Wise up people - research this stuff !

The stability and continuous prosperity of modern societies like the West depends on Social safety nets....of which SS is the greatest...granted it is a system you pay into and as such not welfare are propagandists claim.
-Millions and millions do not save for the future no matter how you may scare them.
-these multitudes sooner or later would need income. Without SS,medicare they would be in our streets, backyards, alley ways; hospitals; shelters, highways, playgrounds etc. These people are not just going to roll over and die. Here are the ingredients for chaos and civil strife and mayhem...and you would not want to step outside you door.....and society breaks down.
-In reality, keeping poor people barely fed, clothed, housed is actually for the benefit of the rich. In chaos the poor have barely nothing to lose...and don't CARE.
-Imagine, had king LOUIS VI and his nobles put an SS system in place, would they have lost their heads? head? Don't think so.

I am a retired teacher and receive a retirement check from STRS. In doing so I am being penalized because I have improved my quality of life. It was estimated that I would receive $476. monthly at age 62, instead I will be receiving $146. I worked and paid into this system. Social Security never once indicated that I would not be receiving my full benifit at age 62. The government has a fuduciary obligation to pay me what I put into the system. What the government is doing is stealing my money. Why do government allowed to have several pensions after leaving office. They are not prorated, why? I am seeking to fight this and would like names of Pro Bono Attorneys.
