The Million-Dollar Retirement Plan

Food, Clothing, Shelter and maybe some medical care are what we need before and during retirement. The other needs we have are a constant. We need each other to love and enjoy and to serve. If we plan around these basics, both work and retirement can become a joy. If we think only of ourselves, nothing well ever be fully satisfying. The vicarious pleasure we get from seeing the well being, the good, the growth and simple accomplishments of those we love is what makes us good human beings different from mere animals. Love, of course, requires understanding, acceptance and involvement. It does seem that most of us are willing to spend our time and energy in doing what will never be entirely satisfying. We will never be entirely satisfied in this life. Only God fully understands, accepts and is fully involved with us. Realizing that makes working and retiring a joy.
