I totally agree, whoever wrote this article is CLUELESS!!!!! Low income means for me 7.25 hr. Let's see the author take that and automatically deduct for a retirement Acct.!! This article's title is a lie, and obvious "hook" to get people, low income people to read it. The truth is more & more of Americans are low income than ever before, and retirement is an urban myth for them. The author should be ashamed.

stop eating

stop feeding your family

stop living in a house and live with who ever will take you in

or

live in (well, the car was sold for food) a shelter while holding onto a job

Obviously this author does has a different idea of what "low income" is. Perhaps low income is what she has never really experienced - a cut in allowance from mom and dad?

Low income can mean that all money is used up for basic life support. "New clothes" are used, not new. Beans and rice is dinner today, tomorrow and hopefully a third day - and cooked at home.
