This site is censored. Say anything they do not like and they will delete it. US health care is 16th, but most expensive in the world, buy Canadian dollars, Miami is too cold for me, rent do not buy, elder-care is ridiculously cheap out side the US. Ah yes I want to retire and die in Michigan! Now I really believe that you can not believe everything that you read on the net!

Always liked Santa Fe when we passed thur it , Always thought it was for the rich & famous as I remember housing was very pricey..Not something to average retiree would want to spend all their income on.. Am I wrong???.

You guys are nuts...ask someone who is about to retire, and have you ever been to Flagstaff in the winter? Try driving those icy mountain roads with old, arthritic hands.

New stores and employers are moving into the area that creates the stability for the college students to have jobs while attending Cornell University or Ithaca College. The presence of the younger generation is listed as one of the many reasons to retire in this beautiful and cheapest place to retire in USA area. www.cheapest-places-to-retire.com

Florida is a better choice now than ever! Homes are cheap! You don't have to bring your snow shovel with you. No tax on your income, no matter how high. No body can touch your home equity, retirement income or funds, etc. Why isn't Venice or Sarasota or Gainesville, FL high on this list?
