Historical

Charles Chapman, a retired Chicago publisher and a descendant of "Johnny Appleseed," revolutionized the citrus industry by purchasing a 350-acre orchard in east Fullerton in 1894 and promoting the Valencia orange, which keeps well and ripens late.
