Glendale is located in Southern California on the east side of the San Fernando Valley.

The town has a number of performing arts venues, including the Glendale Centre Theatre, the longest continuously run "Center Staged" theater in the nation.

Historical
Since the city's 1906 incorportation, several land annexations have contributed to the city's current area of 30.5 square miles. Glendale started with just 1,482 acres.
