The town boasts several shopping centers, L'Orange Park, and Waipahu Cultural Garden Park.
Historical
Waipahu began as a work camp for the Oahu Sugar Co. in 1897.
Economy
Though agriculture, especially sugar, plays a significant role in the city's economy, much of its earnings comes from tourism.
