Cultural Attractions

The Midland Center for the Arts is home to the town's symphony orchestra, theatre guild, and the Alden B. Dow Museum of Science & Art.

Recreation

The Chippewa Nature Center offers woodlands, wetlands, and over 15 miles of trails, while Dow Gardens is a 110-acre horticultural garden established in 1899.

Historical

Architect Alden B. Dow, whose father started Dow Chemical, was born here in 1904.  His home and studio are available to tour.

Economy

Midland is the corporate headquarters for the Dow Chemical Co, which conducts research, development, and manufacturing in the area.
