Cultural Attractions

The Old Salem Museum and Gardens demonstrates life as the early Moravians settlers lived it. Art lovers will also want to visit the Reynolda House Museum of American Art, renowned for its collection of American masterpieces.

Recreation

Historical

The city is the birthplace of Krispy Kreme doughnuts. The first were sold to local grocery stores here in 1937.
