When Morgan Hoth was a teacher, she spent summers experimenting with arts and crafts. Today, the Virginia-based artist sells her painted scarves and wraps online. Perhaps the best-known site Hoth uses to sell her wares is Etsy.com. Etsy is an online marketplace for creative crafts makers and artists of all stripes. It charges sellers a small listing fee—20 cents to display an item for four months—and a 3.5 percent fee when items are sold.
