Gallup-Healthways used 13 indicators for its future livability rankings: full-time employment, economic confidence, the level of job creation, the perception that employee-supervisor relationships are healthy, standard of living, optimism about a place’s future, optimism about their own future, perceived learning opportunities, access to clean water, safe places to exercise, the levels of obesity and smoking, and the frequency of dental visits.
