It’s finally summer, and it’s time to party… and save some money. July might not fall into a hyped up shopping season, but there are a lot of items that will hit some impressively low prices this month.

Check out the five buys that will have big discounts this month.

Spring and Summer Clothing

The end of July is a great time to soak up the last spring and summer clothing sales. August will bring back-to-school season into full swing, and stores will fill clothing racks with fall looks. In preparation for the back-to-school shopping frenzy, retailers are making their final attempts to get some of the fun, summer looks out of the store and into your closet.

Jeans will be deeply discounted this month. It’s the hottest time of year in many regions which means there aren’t many shoppers looking for jeans. Since we’re all trying to keep cool, retailers are keeping the sales racks hot with discounts. Most sales on jeans are offering at least 50 percent off. Grab a few new pairs of jeans before back-to-school season drives prices back up.

Typically, new furniture lines are debuted in August. To clear the shelves for new pieces, retailers are placing big discounts on indoor furniture. Do a little research on your favorite stores, and find out when their new furniture lines are coming out. Chances are you’ll find the best prices on current pieces in the weeks leading up to the new arrivals.

The further we get into summer, the more patio furniture will be discounted. Patio furniture is sold at full price in the spring. As we get closer and closer to the fall, retailers will lower the prices of outdoor furniture to make room for new inventory. Keep your eyes peeled for big sales in July and August. There are also some great coupon codes on indoor and outdoor furniture right now. Coupon codes are used online to give you an additional discount on sales items. With a coupon code, you can save as much as 70 percent on furniture this month. Go to your favorite coupon and deals website, and search the names of your favorite stores to see which companies offer coupon codes.

Home Décor

Oh yeah! It’s time to look through your Pinterest boards and actually try some things out for yourself.  July is a great time of year to spruce up your space with new home décor. It’s right in the middle of wedding season which means you’ll be able to snag some great pieces from wedding sales. For some regions, the July heat discourages couples from saying their “I Do’s” this month. That means an increase in selection, a decrease in foot traffic and an increase in deals.

Desktop/Laptop Bundles

As we approach back-to-school season, desktop and laptop bundles begin to pop up. Many retailers will bundle a computer with a printer and a security system and slash the prices of every product to create a bundle. Shopping in late July will allow you to shop the bundle deals before they get picked through in August, the busiest month for back-to-school shopping.

If you’re new to shopping for a computer, be sure to do some research before you head to the checkout line. Computer bundles are great when it comes to saving money but only if the products in the bundle are things you need. If you don’t need a printer, or fancy headphones or a laptop bag, you and your wallet are both better off sticking to buying the computer without all the bells and whistles. If you are a student or teacher, do some research to find out where you can get a special discount. Many companies offer an education discount.

Grills and Grill Accessories

After the fourth of July, grill prices will continue to drop through the end of August. If you think you’ll need a new grill for the remainder of this summer or for next summer, you’ll find some great deals this month. Grills and grill accessories will be discounted around 50 percent, so take advantage of the great deals and call up the neighbors for a cookout.

Happy shopping!
